In February, we began publishing our Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) data. We started doing this because at NextRequest, we believe in transparency, and part of being transparent involves showing our efforts toward building a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and anti-racist organization. We know that there are always strides to be made and that working on DEI and anti-racist initiatives is never done, but that shouldn’t stop us, or any organization, from stressing the importance of this work. We open our progress to the public so that it can see what milestones we’ve accomplished toward creating a diverse workforce and hold us accountable to ensure that we take action where needed.
At NextRequest, one of the ways we measure our inclusivity and equitability progress is by comparing gender and race within the company to that of the U.S. population, as well as the demographics of the High Tech Industry. Data is collected via voluntary self reporting in our HR system. It is our goal to continue building out our data set in the future by including information around hiring and compensation.
